Session Outline: Monday, March 28, 04:10 PM to 5:00 PM SURGE 113

Note

Since there is a lab during this time, I will be trying to change the time of this session. However, I encourage you to come today if you don't have lab.

Brief

I will be going over what programming is and how one goes about doing it. I will also be helping everyone get set up with the tools they will need for the rest of the quarter. As this is the first session I don't expect everyone to be in attendance. So if you miss it, don't worry, I will review everything on Wednesday, however, I really encourage you to come as I'll be going into much more detail about things then I will be able to on Wednesday. This session will also help me begin to meet everyone who will be coming.

Agenda

  1. What is programming? Examples of different programming languages.
  2. How does one program? Examples of different IDEs, Compilers, and Interpreters.
  3. Setting up Tools for Class
